When it tries to swap them, it crashes because it never had anything in the first place. It doesn't look through the children nodes of the children and it doesn't check to make sure it was actually able to grab the SHIELD and WEAPON nodes. However, there is only one direct child node: CME L Hand. Skyrim VR will find NPC L Hand and try to grab the SHIELD child node. In the XP32 skeleton, the hierarchy of the bones in the hands are as follows: This changes which hand you hold your weapon in. When you enable left-handed mode in Skyrim VR, it will look for the NPC L Hand and NPC R Hand nodes, look under its direct children for SHIELD/WEAPON, and swap the name of the bones. The default vanilla skeleton in Skyrim VR has hand bones in the following hierarchy: Set it to overwrite XP32's files in your load order.
